Quality Improvement
The Quality Improvement tools were mailed to all health care facilities in Monroe and Onondaga Counties in fall 2006. The tools were sent along with a cover letter outlining the review process developed by the QI/EMS/Research Subcommittee co-chaired by Dr. Tom Caprio and Dr. Manish Shah.
Two target community benchmarks have been set:
1. For Do Not Resuscitate (DNR) orders, a 90% accuracy rate for Sections A, B, C and F are achieved
2. For Life-Sustaining Treatment orders, a 90% accuracy rate for Section E is achieved
