              The MetLife Mature Market Institute, in partnership with Virginia Tech, the University of Kentucky and the National
              Committee for the Prevention of Elder Abuse (NCPEA) conducted a study to determine the extent and
              consequences of elder financial abuse. 

  • "Observing and Addressing Financial and Material Exploitation of Older Adults," an online course sponsored by the New England Maine Geriatric Education Center and AARP. 

    This free online course is intended for healthcare professionals, health professions faculty and students to help them develop a better understanding of financial and material exploitation/abuse against older adults -- whether committed by family members, friends, individuals in a position of trust, strangers, or caregivers.
